Hollybourne, designed by William Day for the Maurice family in 1890, is one of the most unique buildings architecturally, within the Jekyll Island Club compound. It is the only structure that utilized the native material of tabby. Maurice and his wife were known as the Club's historians. Maurice, a bridge builder, incorporated some unusual elements using bridge design techniques.
Proceeds from the sale of this ornament will assist in the preservation of Hollybourne, the last of the Club Member's cottages to be restored.
