Virtual Field Trips

SESSIONS OFFERED AUGUST - MAY

Connect with the Georgia Sea Turtle Center virtually right from your classroom. Meet some of our sea turtle patients tank side while connecting sea turtle life history to topics like adaptations, habitats, life cycles, conservation efforts, or veterinary care. Your tour guide will share turtle facts and the stories of our current patients along with treatment methods for rehabilitation and release.

Sessions are offered weekdays August – May. These 35-minute programs are scheduled on EST and must be booked a minimum of 2 weeks before the desired date. Additional advance notice is suggested. Before booking your reservation, please review the following information:

• • Sessions are available for kindergarten - 12th grade
• • Program capacity is 50 participants (children & adults) per session. Groups larger than our maximum are required to book multiple time slots.
• • Know your school contact information and preferred application (Zoom preferred).
• • Once your reservation request & payment are submitted, you will receive a follow-up email with confirmation of your session date and time.
• • A test connection is required for Virtual Field Trip sessions & must be completed at minimum of 24 hours in advance of your program.
• • Two-way audio/visual capabilities is required. For the best broadcast quality, a hard-wire internet connection is recommended.
